This was beautifully written (as usual), and it warms my heart to know that we're not only taking part in your life-long traditions, but we're creating holiday traditions of our own. I love you, and Merry Christmas!

P.S. Do we get to drink champagne while I make the cinnamon rolls too?

Caitlin, I have really enjoyed getting to "know" you by reading your posts this year, so thank you! Your family Christmas tradition sounds wonderful, and I am wondering if you have a recipe to share for the sausage quiche?

We are trying to start a tradition of having both my and my husband's family over on Christmas Eve. We have been doing it since we moved back to our hometown (this is year 3), and while it is a ton of fun, we don't have anything in particular that stands out as a tradition...yet.

Happy Holidays!!

Aww, Caitlin... you and Zach (love his comment!) and the rest of your family are just the freaking cutest. This post was just lovely, as all your family-centered posts are.

We still go up to my parents' house every single year for Christmas. I can't imagine ever not waking up in their house on Christmas morning; I don't even want to think about how that's bound to happen one day.

Caitlin

Z - There is champagne whenever you want! Love you too.

Angela - That's nice to hear, thank you! I have a request in for the recipe, but haven't gotten it yet and fear it will not arrive in time for Christmas! Sad! I love your new tradition of just having the same people over. Sometimes just going to the same place is tradition enough.

Stephanie - I assure you we're not this cute all the time. But thank you! It's fun for me to share family food traditions here. And I totally understand how intimidating it can be to think of that first Christmas away. But, I promise it won't be as bad as you fear.

Wow, Catlin I had no idea that you were doinf this project. This is a great read and I can't wait to read more. Happy Holidays to you and Zach Orit and I miss you both and hope to one day be the extra guests at your house.
