My husband got me a dutch oven for Christmas. Now, a lot of you may not find this to be a wonderful and romantic gift, but I did. I've been wanting one for years but have never gotten one because I can't afford a Le Creuset. Which is like saying I won't buy a car because I can't afford a Ferrari. Asinine, right? Anyhow, I love my dutch oven and can't imagine going back to living without it. Although, I would trade mine for one of these beauties so fast your head would spin.
I also couldn't function without my immersion blender. I use it to make baby food, soups, whipped cream and anything else I can think of to blend the heck out of. I need to get the whisk attachment for mine. No more hand-whisking for me. What do I look like? Some kind of Amish farmer or something?
Then, there's my stoneware. I've got a 9x13, an 8x8 and two cookie sheets. I find that stoneware distributes heat more evenly than glass or metal pans. I seldom, if ever, have to deal with burnt bottoms when I bake with stoneware. It seasons like cast iron so the more I use it the better it gets. Not a whole lot of gadgets you can say that about.
Finally, there's my OXO mixing bowls. I got these as a wedding shower gift six, almost seven, years ago and they're still going strong. They never tip over and the handle makes it so easy to hold on to especially with wet hands. My only complaint is that mine are white and these are so much cuter.
What are your favorite kitchen tools?

Oooh, I got a Dutch oven for Christmas as well (also not a Le Creuset, but hey!) Sadly, though, I don't actually HAVE my new oven, as we exchanged gifts in another state, and the person responsible for driving the gifts home (as opposed to trying to fit a Dutch oven into my carry-on) has not driven back yet. (Long story.) I also have an immersion blender that I love, but my most used kitchen implement is a goofy little thing called Whiskie. It's a little plastic egg with a chicken beak face and a small wisk coming out the top of his head. I use that stupid little thing more than any other implement in my kitchen.
Aaaaand now my secret is out. :)
