Two of my favorite items to add to chili (and helped me tied-for-first chili cook-off win) are molasses and cocoa powder. Deelish.

I do cocoa powder, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, pintos instead of kidneys, and pumpkin in addition to the regular stuff. Then I serve with whole wheat pasta, oyster crackers, raw onions, and sour cream and cheese for the lactose tolerant among us. AWESOME.
