I adore wine, as has been documented, but sometimes I'm just in the mood for a beer. The problem is that my husband's favorite beers are all REALLY dark and often I just want something sweet. I'm not a huge fan of apples, though, so I really have to be in the mood for a hard cider. I know, I'm difficult.
Anyway, on one trip to the liquor store I actually asked for help (gasp!) and the guy led me to Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss. My husband tried it and made a funny face, a sure sign of a fruity drink. I loved it. If one bottle wasn't 6 WeightWatchers PointsPlus Points, I would have them more often.
Plus, in my head I pronounce both "Leinenkugel" and "Weiss" with a strong German accent, which is really fun for me.
Do you like fruity beer? Any recommendations?

We're big Leinenkugel fans, too. I tried their Lemon Berry Shandy this past weekend, and it was excellent. Highly recommend.

I will have to check that out as well. I have learned that I am not an apple hard cider fan after trying some that Twitter has recommended recently and they all tasted like apple juice that went bad to me. However, I love Ace Pear Cider. It is pear based rather than apple and has a wonderful flavor in my opinion. So if you aren't an apple hard cider fan, check out Ace Pear (I think it's actually called Ace Perry Cider but it has pears on the label.) I get it at my local grocery usually in the refrigerated section of the beer aisle.

I really like Lindemans Framboise Lambic. It is quite expensive but well worth the treat every so often. They come individually bottled and corked which makes it feel extra special. I couldn't imagine drinking more than one glass so it's really not going to break the bank.

Seconding the recommendation for Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, that's one of my faves of all time. Abita Springs Purple Haze is also very good.
