We have no Trader Joes where I live. No Whole Foods either. (Do you feel sorry for me? I'm so deprived.) But! We are getting a Sprouts Grocery! I'm not sure when they'll be opening, but I'll definitely be checking it out.
I know Sprouts isn't as big a name as the other two, and I'm totally unfamiliar with what they'll have. That's where you lovely readers come in.
Do you shop at Sprouts? What should I try? Anything I should definitely avoid? Let's hear it!

We got a Sprouts last year and we love it! The produce is consistently good quality and inexpensive. The bulk bins are great for stocking up on staples, especially when they have one of their regular sales. They carry a lot of Whole Foods type items (gluten free, dairy free, organic, etc.) and seem better priced for that type of item. Wednesdays are double discount days when you get the sale prices for the current and next week. They seem more like an every day person's Whole Foods. Not as many unique/funky items as Trader Joe's. I've found the Sprouts produce guys to be especially helpful, picking out fruit for me if they're stocking the same item I happen to be putting in my bag. I've also seen them cut open a fruit for samples if a customer has never had that fruit or variety before and is wondering if they'll like it.

Go to sprouts for the produce. Last year I found blackberries for 75 cents. Their produce is always cheap and usually local. They carry my yogurt that I like (Cascade Farms). Everything else can be quite pricey.

Yes on cheap, good produce. I'm always surprised at how low my bill is there.
