I adore chips. We've discussed it before.
Usually in the summer months, I can eat my fill of full-fat potato chips, considering most of the real meals I eat involve things that are very fresh or grilled. This summer, however, we spent three weeks with my in-laws where the vast majority of our meals involved pork as a main ingredient. Now I don't care who you are, if all you eat for 20 days is pork, you're going to get a little pudgy. That said, I have not been able to allow myself to indulge in half a bag of Ruffles while I watch the Olympics. Instead, I have given over to PopChips.
These babies are FANTASTIC! They are not at all greasy, have a perfectly delightful crunch and taste great. I am hooked on the original flavor, but they come in several varieties like salt and vinegar, sweet potato, barbeque, jalapeno and more. With only 4 grams of fat per serving, I can certainly jusitfy munching on some of these chips while watching men's synchronized diving.
I buy my PopChips at Target or Costco, but they are sold at retailers all across the country. The taste is very hearty and they're very good dipped in fresh salsa. If you're looking for a lower-fat, healthier alternative to fried chips, give these a try!

The sour cream & onion ones are the obsession around here. Hubs can eat a half a bag the same day I buy them. I can hardly keep them stocked in the house!

You should try the sweet potato pop chips. I just discovered them and they are seriously delicious...a little salty, a little sweet, yum!
