One of my least favorite chores is food shopping. I don't like crowds and the store always seems to be busy, even in the middle of the day. Also, I seldom have all of my meals nicely planned out, so I wander listlessly (and list-less) through the store hoping to be struck by inspiration (and sometimes lightening). The produce aisle gets the most attention and by the time I get to snacks, I am more of a grab-and-run girl. I always end up with stuff I don't really want or aren't healthy choices. Another problem I have is that I buy the same things for a while, but then get bored and want something "new!" and "different!" Also "calorie free!" (A girl can dream.)
A while back I was obsessed with the Pretzel Crisps Jennie mentioned last month. I went through a bag every day two days. Obviously, they had to be retired or I had to register my butt for a zip code.

I'm trying to eat healthier lately, which means I buy a lot of almonds. I recently bought the Blue Diamond Bold flavors, Lime n' Chili and Wasabi & Soy. I also love the smokehouse flavor. These almonds can be a little spendy, but I buy them on sale and stock up. Most often I find them on sale at CVS, Walgreens or RiteAid.

I just noticed that they have the salt 'n vinegar flavor, which will be my next purchase!
What are your favorite snacks? Have you tried the cocoa almonds or cinnamon glazed almonds mentioned by other Food Lush writers?

I know our Costco also sells certain flavors of the Blue Diamond almonds so that's a way to get them cheaper. I usually buy them for my office.
I recently started getting the cocoa almonds also, and while I haven't tasted them they are getting rave reviews by my coworkers.

You must try the habanero BBQ flavor. It's our favorite and never lasts long in the house. We buy big bags on Amazon.
