I have a confession, Lushes: I love food intended for little kids. I know, I know. I write for FOOD LUSH. I'm supposed to be a fine, upstanding foodie. But y'all. I am a sucker for A) things in small packages and B) catchy character marketing or even C) creative ways to eat things that are good for me without thinking about it to hard. I also like Apple Jacks.
Let's start wtih juice. Most adults drink orange juice, right? Maybe a nice cranberry from time to time. Me? I like Capri Sun and Juicy Juice. There's something satisfying about sucking a juice pouch or juice box until it's completely empty, producing that "sluuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp" sound. Aaaah.
Somewhere around my sophomore year of high school, I discovered Goldfish crackers. May years later, they invented the baby ones. My little heart nearly skipped a beat when I first tried those tiny little fishies. They are so cute.
Now let's talk about popsicles. I understand that I'm 35 and should be eating whole fruit bars or something, but have you tried Dora slow-melting Popsicles? They are the BOMB. They really do melt slower than other pops, so you don't end up with sticky goo all over your thumb. They also come in cute shapes and really good flavors.
I've been in throw-back mode lately with my breakfast choices. Not only am I craving Toaster Struedel like mad, I've rediscovered raisin bread. Cinnamon Swirl Raisin Bread with a little cream cheese? Heavenly.
What little kid foods do you still enjoy as an adult?

Well, we've already discussed my love of the frosted Circus Animal crackers here on Food Lush. I also REALLY love macaroni and cheese (it's my favorite thing to order at noodles & co!) and Ritz crackers. I should probably like something more grown up to put cheese on, but I just love Ritz. So good!
And my husband will eat all the fruit snacks if I buy certain kinds. I have to watch out.

My sister ate jarred baby food fruit well into her adult years. I also love the frosted circus animal cookies. And lately I've been buying the little pre-made jello cups with pineapple in them. And let us not forget Pop Tarts. I will always be a lover of brown sugar cinnamon and/or cherry Pop Tarts. (even though I prefer mine unfrosted with melted butter on top)
