Mike's On the Rocks: Long Island Iced Tea

I'm a big fan of mixed drinks, but don't have them very often because buying lots of liquor seems to add up faster than buying lots of wine. Probably my math is flawed, but I'm okay with that. I really like Long Island Iced Teas, and have been eyeing the Mike's cooler of it my last few visits to my favorite liquor store.

My initial description to my husband: It would be good on a boat.

Elaboration: I liked it. A LOT. But I don't think I'd drink it all the time. Or in place of an actual Long Island Iced Tea. But at a BBQ or on a boat or on the golf course? Great! It had a very Mike's taste to it, which wasn't bad at all, just distinct. 

To do a comparison, I had a real Long Island Iced Tea at dinner on Saturday night.

I still prefer the original, but I will put the canned version on my shopping list for family BBQs or trips on a friend's boat.

Mikes makes a really great lemonade, and I've seen these Long Islands, but haven't tried them yet. Maybe I'll have to check those out.
