I've been struggling a lot lately with my diet.
No, I haven't been gaining weight.
I haven't been losing weight.
My struggle relates to what I publically, and Food Lush-ally, refer to as my "gluten intolerance." While gluten is the primary culprit in my digestive troubles, it goes a whole lot deeper than that. Years of incorrect diagnoses to my problem left me with a damaged digestive system, and a myriad of other tummy troubles. As a result, there are many other foods beyond those containing gluten that set off my stomach. Full-fat dairy (sayonara, ice cream), too much sugar, too many carbs, too many vegetables (yes, my body flips out if I eat too many veggies in one day), and, well, a whole lot else.
Sometimes it's pretty defeating, and I really just want to give up and live on white rice, but I'm betting my body would even find a way to be mad about that.
Which is why I need to clean out my system, and attempt to do some kind of food allergen elimination diet. The task is daunting, and I'm hoping you all can provide some tips, or some commiseration at the least sensitive tummy friends. Have any of you ever tried an elimination diet? I've done some internet research, but I'm thinking to do this properly I probably need to seek the advice of a nutritionist as well. Anyone with any experience in that arena?
What say you Food Lush Friends? What foods give you trouble? Anyone else with any major food allergies? Any nutritionists reading? Slynnro needs you!

I read a blog Triplets Plus One Equals Four Times The Fun and the mom cured her gluten intolerance over time by juicing and eliminating gluten and other triggers. There are more details on the blog or you could email her.

I've started an allergy elimination diet recently. The first 2 weeks were poulty, nuts and seeds, and veggies only. I thought I might die. The third week, I added a new piece of fruit each day. Then... I fell off the rails.
Fourth week is supposed to be legumes, a new one each day. Fifth and sixth weeks are adding grains, one every 3 days.
There are also a whole bunch of supplements to take, including probiotics. I'm planning to continue following Paleo for now, but at some point I will go back to this elimination diet so I can find out exactly what issues I have. I already know that sugar is a HUGE one.
Wishing you the best!
