A Noodles and Company just opened up where I live. I don't know if you're familiar with Noodles and Company, but it's a quick pasta place. The first time I ate there was in college and I quickly became a big fan. And then I moved away from my college town and I've missed it ever since. It's not anything fancy, but I've always wished there was one around, and now there is! (I'm more excited about this than I should be.)
There aren't many resturants that I miss when I live somewhere without one (Rosa's Cafe is another one) and I'm thrilled that I don't have to miss this one anymore.
Tell me, what restaurants do you wish your town had?

Backyard Burger -- I miss the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich
Steak n' Shake (we have the counter-service only at the mall and I miss the ones we used to have in my hometown, complete with drive-up service that came to your car window)
and a couple of local places, especially the ones that made Cashew Chicken, Pineapple Chicken, and THE best crab rangoon in the entire world. A sushi place that makes my favorite specialty roll (Miami Roll!)
and a coffeeshop that went out of business there that was part of the the scene of my first date with my husband.
Ahh, now I'm nostalgic AND hungry! :)

Maggianno's and Wolfgang Puck both left Minneapolis last year. I miss them both for very different reasons.
I was in Las Vegas last week and was able to get a Wolfgang meal but could not justify using one of my Vegas dining experiences to eat at Maggianno's.

Chic Fil a and Sonic are my two most missed. I don't even eat that much fast food but those are what I miss. Can't wait to make the move down south for good

I miss a lot of NYC restaurants. But as for chains, I really miss having an Outback nearby. Their Alice Springs Chicken is one of my favorite dishes ever.
