Last summer I had major espresso machine envy over the Nespresso Citiz that my best friend had sitting in her kitchen. I spent a lot of time thinking about it last winter and January I asked for the whole setup for my birthday. I know there are a lot of Keurig fans out there but whoa, I love this machine.
(Here's what mine looks like.)
It's a good setup for me in that it's pretty hands-off. There's not a lot of boho-hippie coffee artwork going on here, but the coffee is fantastic and it's simple. VERY VERY SIMPLE. Push some buttons, walk away, pour it all together and it's latte time! With two kids assaulting me with breakfast demands nonstop for the first hour of my day? This independent machine is very valuable to me.
The capsules are only available through Nespresso, which is kind of annoying, but it's not such a huge deal. It's easy to keep clean, doesn't take up much space on my counter, and is cheaper than what we were buying before. This summer, I am really looking forward to its ability to make ICED lattes for me. I very much recommend this brand and model if you're in the market for a new coffee appliance. After four months we're verrrrry happy together.

My mom has one of these - it's great!
