Yesterday for lunch I made myself a salad and one of the things I put on it was raisins. Then my husband promptly informed me that I ruined it. See, my husband is of the belief that raisins shouldn't be in anything. I, on the other hand, like raisins. I think oatmeal cookies need rasins, not chocolate chips. I like toasted raisin bread as a snack. I think hot oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins is delicious. You get the picture.
I would never have guessed that something like raisins would be so divisive. I'm curious, what are your feelings on raisins? Is there a food that you seriously disagree on in your house?

I am pro-raisin.

I am anti raisin and always have been. But I love dried cranberries. Go figure.

I dislike raisins. My husband and son eat them by the handful. Since I'm the one baking/cooking, raisins don't go in things.
Now olives, there's a polarizing ingredient. My husband says he cannot stand them and do not DARE put them in his food. Of course, I am an olive evangelist and will sneak them into anything I can. We had olive hummus the other day and he was shoveling it down and I told him it had olives in it so he STOPPED eating it and put it away! He was ALREADY EATING IT and thought it was good, but had to stop on principle, I guess.

Raisins are gross. Yuck! The kids will eat them for snack occasionally and my husband will eat them if I buy them. Which I usually don't , because again...raisins are gross.

Raisins are an abomination. Dried cranberries (or cherries or blueberries) all the way.

I like raisins in things, but not on a salad. However, cranberries on a salad is great.

I'm so with you. Raisins are yummy. My daughter agrees with me, but the jury's still out with my son (he has yet to consciously eat a raisin, so I can't say if he hates them or just the look of them). But I think they're great, especially in oatmeal.

HAAAAATE RAISINS. They ruin so many thing I would otherwise love (cinnamon bread, oatmeal cookies, CARROT CAKE!!!!) and I would love never to encounter one again. Blech!

I don't eat raisins by themselves, but I LOVE them in cookies, oatmeal, and cereal. Although if I was going for a salad topping, I would pick dried cherries or cranberries over raisins. Still, I don't get all the raisin haters.
