Wow, grating 4 cups of cheese by hand is a major undertaking! Do you have a food processor? I don't break mine out for small grating jobs, but if I need over a cup of cheese automated is the way to go :) There's also no risk of grating ones fingertips, which I always seem to do on my box grater . . .

I love my kitchen aid cheese grater. I use it all the time. It came with a lidded container that I can use to store the cheese in. I love grating my own cheese. I much prefer box graters. So much easier to use.
