I am truly looking forward to Christmas Eve this year, especially after the little one has gone to bed and her dad and I can sit up and watch A Christmas Story on repeat and eat popcorn and cookies by the fire while sipping an adult beverage. I wanted to try something more original this year than just red wine or a G&T (although there's nothing wrong with those options!). And then I was in the liquor store the other day, as a stressed-out working mom is wont to be, and I saw this:

How festive would it be to make hot chocolate and spike it with this stuff? And use a candy cane as a stirrer! And top it with mini-marshmallows! And drink it from a big Christmas-themed mug! (OMG is it December 24th yet?) If mint isn't your thing, Baileys also offers caramel and coffee flavors of its Irish Cream, too. Yummmm. And if you want a fancier cocktail option, head on over to Bailey's website and check out the plethora of recipes they have there.
What are your favorite holiday-themed adult beverages?

Your hot chocolate idea sounds divine!
What we've been drinking over the past 2 holiday seasons is Dave Matthews cocktails -amaretto, coconut rum, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice. What, that doesn't Christmas-y to you? The cranberry juice makes it red! Haha it started last year when I had to buy amaretto for a baked brie recipe and wanted to make good use of the amaretto!
