For the first time in my life, I'm in charge of cooking the entire Thanksgiving meal this year, soup to nuts. I am super excited about this, actually, but it does involve a fair bit of advance planning. While I wish I were the kind of person who was so organized that I had already completed all my grocery shopping and could now share with you all of my stellar recipes, the truth looks more like 14 half-finished to do lists and a growing sense of panic.
So instead, I share with you this delightful video, which is ever so slightly not suitable for work but which has become my mantra as I stress out over all the ways I could screw this up. From Tante Marie, (who runs her own cooking school in San Francisco that, based on this video, I think I'd quite like to attend, and who is actually the real-life Aunt Mary of a person I know in real life) I bring you this gem:
You know, there will be family, there will be sweet potatoes made with butter and cream, there will be football on tv, and there will be cocktails. It's all going to be okay.
Happy Thanksgiving!
