More Importantly, What Would You Cook?

You know that question "If you could invite anyone, alive or dead, to dinner, who would you invite?" There's variations on it: sometimes it's three people, sometimes it's celebrities, and sometimes it's historical figures.

Tell me who you'd invite. But what I really want to know is: what would you cook?

I'd invite singer Loretta Lynn, birth control pioneer Margaret Sanger, Lady Gaga, medieval queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, and poet Pablo Neruda. I'd serve kale salad with raisins, grilled chicken topped with pesto, some kind of chilled tomato soup, cream puffs and red velvet cake. And a lot of champagne. I think it would definitely be a raucous dinner party, and I hope all of these luminaries would dig my homemade cream puffs.
