Do you remember carrying a lunch box to school as a kid? I remember every summer, getting to pick out our new lunch box with whichever character was hot at the moment. It was always one of the only things I looked forward to about summer vacation ending.
But then we got older and lunch boxes were for kids. And we took brown bags or insulated tote bags. You couldn’t bring a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine lunch box to school, lest you were confident enough. I was not.
When I was in my mid-20s, the Oakland A’s had a lunch box giveaway. I used that lunch box for YEARS! It was awesome! It was the old school metal lunch box. All that was missing was the thermos inside.
Now as I’ve gotten older and more environmentally conscious, I have gone back to reusable totes for my lunch. I have a large lunch bag, and then I even have reusable baggies to bring my sandwiches, chips and fruit. No garbage! Yay for me!
So now I’m always on the lookout for a cool lunch tote option. I recently saw the PlanetBox lunch box featured on some website and I have decided that I must have it! It’s like a space-age, fun, reusable lunch box!
The only downside (besides the price tag, yikes!) is it probably takes up quite a big of room, so it would be a bit clunky in my work bag. But isn’t it so cool looking?
