Y'all, my mind has been BLOWN.
I just got back from a 10-day stint in Missouri where I have tons of family that are clearly blessed with information I was not aware of. Perhaps you know this little handy trick about how to tell a fresh egg from a hard boiled egg but I was not aware until two days ago.
If you try and spin a hard boiled egg, it will spin with ease and quite fast. If you try and spin a fresh egg it doesn't spin with nearly as much ease as the former. Now, I never really thought I'd need to know this trick but it turns out that some people (coughmyGrandmacough) mix the two kinds of eggs together and some other people (coughmyGrandpacough) get annoyed and must know the difference so as to cook someone else (coughmecough) a lovely breakfast with farm-fresh eggs, toast and hash browns.
For reals, did you guys know this trick? Please don't tell me I'm the last one to know.

You know what -- I DID know this trick. But if it makes you feel better, I only learned a few months ago when Garrett showed me and I was also absolutely awestruck!
32 years of my life I LIVED IN THE DARK. ;)

I did know this trick but I found out by mistake when doing a 4th grade science project on something completely different. I thought I was the last to know at age 9 because my dad - who grew up on a farm - already knew when I told him. But now I'm glad to know I was just a prodigy and discovered this great trick as a 9 year old...I guess I should have gone in to the science field after all.

I learned it when my husband told me. His parents keep chickens so they have lots of eggs to keep track of! I personally just keep the hard boiled ones separated from the uncooked ones.

Have never heard of this in my life! (34 years here) That's kind of fun info, though. I'm going to try it.

My great-grandmother showed me that trick many moons ago, but I had forgotten it until just now! Thanks for the reminder.

let's join our hands together to stop this kind of wrong doings. It may risk lives in the future if we just let them continue.
